Are you considering adding green to a room in your home but unsure of what to choose? I had this same issue a while back while considering a makeover for my living room. I narrowed my choice down to 3 green colours and combined them with a complementary cream colour. In this article, I share with you those colours to help inspire your next project!
Steal my green & cream colour schemes below!
1. Farrow & Ball Sap Green and Lime White

This colour scheme is great for those who love intense greens for a moody space. It also works well for Victorian and Georgian homes, as the dark colour of Farrow & Ball Sap Green will bring out the character in your space. Decor to go for when choosing this colour can be versatile, but my choice would be metallic features like lighting and wall sconces, photo frames and cushions. A tropical/jungle theme could work well with this scheme too! Or keep it modern with hints of green and more Lime White for a country-infused sapce!

If you like a mid-green then Olive is a great choice (this is the colour I have chosen for my living room). This colour-changing green is bright and olive when in direct sunlight and is moody and warm during the evening (especially when paired with the right lighting). If you’re using this colour in a north-facing room, be mindful that it may appear much darker than the swatch above, so be sure to do a test first. Pairing this colour with Valspar Seven Sisters will cool down this warm green-yellow which is perfect if you have a south-facing room!

These two colours are great for any room condition. Overtly Olive is a more muted olive than the Valspar Rugged Olive and is perfect if you love neutrals with a bit of subtle colour. I have an enitre article dedicated to Overtly Olive, which you should check out if you like this colour! I also have a mood board using Dulux Summer Linen you can check out here, these links will help you see how each colour can be used.
